Tree Removal/ Pruning

We offer standard tree removal and tree pruning by highly skilled arborists.

Tight Access Tree Removal/ Pruning

With our Specialized Equipment we are able to get a 72’ tracked lift through a 36” gate allowing us to access to hazardous trees while doing it in a safe manner.

Low Impact Tree Removal/Pruning

Our equipment is designed to be low pressure on the ground and the use of an articulating loader with a grapple won’t tear up your yard as it moves large amounts of debris and logs to our trucks. Unlike other companies that use skid style loaders and drive large heavy trucks over your lawn often times getting stuck. These types of removals and pruning involves using rope and rigging equipment to mitigate damage to your home and property. Many times we will also involve the use of a crane.

Crane Assisted Tree Removal

When removing a large, hazardous, or hard to reach tree a crane is used to lessen the impact of the surrounding areas. We also implement a crane when removing trees that have failed and fallen onto structures, vehicles, into other trees and many other situations. Cranes bring extra safety and security to tree removal but not every company is experienced in the use of cranes. We are highly trained in crane assisted tree removal, and follow all safety standards.

Experienced Climbing Arborists

While it may be a surprise to some, not all Arborists do or can climb trees. Also out of those that do there is a large portion that are inexperienced, untrained, or not skilled in the safe and proper manner of climbing. While we do have a 72’ tracked lift that will reach most everything, at our roots we are still experienced climbers that have the skills to get any job done. Our owner Travis has trained many other safe climbing arborists and was even a teacher assistant/climbing instructor in college due to his skills.

Lightning Protection Systems

Lightning can be beautiful but when you have large tall trees lightning can be extremely concerning. It would only take a minute YouTube search to see tons of videos of destructive lightning involving trees. When that tree is close to your house it can be a fire and large debris hazard. While many would remove the tree there are other options, we can install a lightning protection system that would divert a strike while grounding it, saving your tree and house from potential devastation.  

Cabling and Bracing Systems

Cabling and Bracing systems can be very important to save a tree or to mitigate any potential hazards. Not all companies are equipped or knowledgeable when it comes to bracing and cabling. This can lead to more harm to your tree or the system may not be set up properly to do its job. Cabling can be used where the tree has codominant trunks or heavy large limbs that can not be removed without harming the tree. Cabling can be a variety of materials; we use a low impact cable without drilling into the tree where applicable. Bracing has a variety of applications when trying to repair a failing tree. Using the wrong equipment or materials can lead to a failure. Here at Artisan Arborist Tree Care we are well versed in bracing and cabling; use all up to date equipment and techniques, doing less harm to your trees and giving you more security.

Planting

Planting a tree seems like a simple task, but every year home owners, landscapers, and even tree companies lose trees due to improper planting. When planting, site prep and proper selection of trees is key. Site prep can be simple or time consuming depending to soil type, ph and many other factors. Choosing the right tree is also key. We practice right tree for the right place. This means we are selecting trees or suggesting them based on size, shape, etc at maturity. This is to make sure we do not plant a tree that gets 80’ tall under power lines, or one that gets too wide too close to your house, saving you money in the future.

Mulching

We offer full mulching service including garden beds and trees. Many people and companies mulch their trees improperly losing all the benefit that mulch gives you. Mulch not only keeps down weeds but helps the soil retain moisture as well as give the soil nutrients as the mulch breaks down.

72’ Lift Service

We own a 72’ tracked lift that can be contracted out with operator for various tasks. We mainly subcontract to other tree services but if you are in need of our size lift please do not hesitate to see if we can help. We do not contract for painting due to over spray and possible damage to the lift.
